Philadelphia Science Weekend:

March 27 – 29, 2009

 

The Academy of Natural Sciences:

See an exhibit on the first dinosaur skeleton displayed in Public. The fossilized skeleton of Hadrosaurus foulkii was discovered in Haddonfield New Jersey in 1858 and put on display at the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia in November of 1868.  The exhibit runs through May 3, 2009.

 

The Franklin Institute Science Museum:

NanoDay at the Franklin: Celebrate Small Science
Sunday March 29, 12 noon to 3pm,

      Bring your family to NanoDay to explore the minuscule world of atoms, molecules, and nanoscale forces. This fun-filled event will feature hands-on demonstrations, make-and-take model buckyballs, and our classic Liquid Air Show. We'll also host a premiere screening of an episode of DragonflyTV, the popular kids' science show on PBS, starring two local kids investigating the nanoworld at The Franklin.
